Cox commits to DII McKendree

Adam Cox takes BP
Recent Lake Land College graduate, Adam Cox (Louisville, IL; North Clay High School), has verbally committed to continue his collegiate student-athletic career at McKendree University in Lebanon, IL.

Cox is expected to sign a Letter of Intent in about a week.

McKendree University is a NCAA Division II member with an enrollment of approximately 3,000.

The McKendree University Bearcats play in the 15-member Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Cox works out at the hot corner.
Cox played baseball at the NJCAA Division I level for the Lakers of Lake Land College for two seasons under the guidance of head baseball coach, Bill Jackson.

While at Lake Land, Cox's main contributions were playing both corner infielder positions and providing left-handed power, primarily in the third batting spot in the lineup.

Cox swung a hot bat in 2017, leading the Lakers in batting average, on-base percentage, and slugging percentage.

Cox also tallied the most hits on the team as well as RBI.
