In both her seasons at Lake Land, Gowin helped her team reach the NJCAA Softball Division I National Finals in St. George, UT, having had a hand in making the latest Lake Land softball team the most successful in Laker Athletic's history, placing fourth in the nation.

Gowin's main contributions came at the plate, playing second base, and providing skilled pinch-baserunning at a moment's notice.

Gowin is the third Lady Lakers softball graduate in the last two weeks to have announced her intentions to continue her softball and academic career at a four-year college.
